About Lauren
I have a lot of experience working with K-5 students and am currently studying at the University of Indianapolis to be an Elementary Education teacher with a Spanish minor. I am very passionate about helping kids learn and grow, and look forward to doing the same for your children.
I cadet taught at my high school for 3rd graders my senior year, and ever since I have fallen in love with teaching children!
I have shadowed and student-taught in 2 elementary schools in my area, and have visited and observed many through my classes at Uindy. I have a lot of experience working with kids and helping them through things that may be challenging.

I like to see what a child does understand first in order to know where we need to start. Often people will start at the beginning and not be aware of what the child already knows, and at a younger age they tend to not speak up and stop an adult. I think these kids know more than they may think, and this will help teaching and growing move faster.
