About Nitya
For students who prefer a more relatable, younger teacher who understands the novelties of the school system, I'd be the perfect fit. I have volunteered over 350 hours of time tutoring K-12 students for two organizations, specializing in math, SAT Prep, and reading and writing. I am new to this website have plenty of experience!
I was inspired to start teaching from a young age. I truly enjoyed seeing the spark in my tutee's eyes whenever we broke through into understanding of a new concept.

Identifying their trouble spots and trying to get an idea of the way they learn best, then developing a lesson plan to best assist them. Depending on the age of the student, I develop different types of learning plans that help them memorize and understand information the best; for some this includes games, illustration, visual aids, etc.

As a student looking to improve or get ahead in a subject area, I would come to a session with an idea of areas you want to improve on so your tutor can best help you with specific areas of concern/interest.
Recently I completed an escape room. Although my family and I required many hints to get through it, the highlight of the activity was when my uncle got stuck behind one of the doors. We thought we had missed a clue, but there was really just a mechanical error!

Nitya was an excellent SAT tutor. I was really struggling with the math section, but with her guidance I was able to increase my math score from a 600 to 800. She carefully taught me all of the question types and how to handle them so on the test I was very prepared and sped through (with extra time!) Keep in mind, math is NOT usually my strong suit. Nitya is a magician and I cannot thank her enough. Highly recommend working with her. You WILL NOT regret it.
Nitya is absolutely amazing. She was so understanding of my schedule and is so helpful. Because of her, I feel so much more confident in all my subjects.
She helped me get through some material that I was struggling with for a long time! Would definitely reccomend her for anyone who needs a tutor that teaches well and is engaging.
I loved how personalized she made her sessions. I highly recommend as she truly understands the younger student mindset.
