About Amber
I am a certified teacher. I have been teaching for 13 years. I have experience in teaching Elementary school in 4 countries. I had some of the top reading scores out of my first graders several years in a row and my biggest passion is not only to teach students to read, but for them to enjoy it.
I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was in 1st grade. My teachers all through elementary school were wonderful. So I always knew that I would teach.
I have a B.S degree in Elementry Education. I have taught PreK, 1st, and 2nd grade as wel as EAL Years 1-4.

I would give them a reading assessment to see where the gaps are, starting with phonologoical awarness. I would then move onto reading passages to get a reading level. After that I would make a tutiring plan tailored to an individual.
I taught 2nd grade for 5 years in the USA, I taught PreK in Egypt to all Egytpian student with Arabic being their first langauge, I taught for 4 years at a school in China, and I am now in Turkey teaching 1st graders. I am well versed in teaching students with multiple langauages, English not being their first.
