About Maria
Harvard University Graduate and have held California teachers credentials since 1994.
I have worked with all age groups teaching kindergarten to college. I hold multiple credentials in California. I have additional training in teaching Corrective Reading and ESL. I enjoy empowering my students in their education.
I like to first get to know my student and their needs and goals. Once we have established what skills we will be working on, I will make some recommendations about a textbook if the student doesn't already have materials that they will be working with. We work at a pace that the student is comfortable with.
I graduated Harvard University in 1994 and began teaching computers at Berkeley Adult Education. Next I went to University of California at Chico to complete California Credentialing requirements. I hold several credentials and have additional training working with readind development and English as a Second Language.
