About Heather
I love teaching and getting to work with students from all over the world. Traveling and learning other languages are two of my favorite hobbies. I was able to travel and live in South America, the Philippines, and South Korea. These experiences have helped me to grow in so many ways and be able to communicate well with people many different places.
I have been a teacher for 13 years for college students, adults, and elementary school students. I do my best to help my students reach their goals and to gain confidence. I love sharing and helping students.
I have a Master's of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from George Mason University. I've taught English in the Philippines as a Peace Corps Volunteer for two years, and English at Woosong College in South Korea for two years. I also have experience teaching kindergarten through fifth grade ESL, and I am currently teaching English to adults in Virginia Beach.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and have spent approximately a year immersed in the Spanish language. I have taught Spanish grammar and served as a Spanish tutor for several years.
