About Rachael
My name is Rachael Masters. I am 25 and I have taught 2nd grade for two years. Additionally, I completed internships in a 5th grade classroom and Kindergarden classroom. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with my bachelors in Elementary Education. I am Reading Endorsed and ESOL Endorsed. I have an abundance of experience in working with ALL kinds of students and modifying my intruction to best fit their individual needs. I believe that working one on one with a teacher is SO valuable for a student and it can push them to where they need to be and even beyond where they need to be academically. I use a caring, patient and personalized approach when it comes to teaching and I am excited for the opprotunity to put my skills and knowledge from the classroom into individual students and watch them grow.
My favorite thing in the world is the "aha" moment from a student. I love to help a student work through a problem and watch something click. To me, the pride and satisfaction they gain is pricesless. As a classroom teacher, I find that small groups and working one on one with students is critical and the best value of their time and my own. Working in this way allows me to modify my instruction based on the individual students needs and help push them to get as much as they can out of my instuction in a shorter amount of time. I am passionate about doing whatever it takes for students to help achieve their goals and looking forward to hearing how I can best meet the needs of your student!
