About Elaine
I have been teaching undergraduate and graduate level college courses for almost 20 years, including the undergraduate Capstone and graduate Thesis writing projects. I hold a Ph.D. and M.Ed. In Educational Psychology, M.A. in Human Relations focusing on multicultural counseling, a B.A. in Psychology, and professional certificate in coaching. I have also worked with At Risk teens, taught strategies for success in academia and life, and tutored college students for 10+ years.
I love working with people, helping them to reach their goals, and have a strong background in APA writing, goal setting, teaching time management skills, and other strategies for success.

First, I like to talk to students and see samples of their writing to determine Their current level of writing, discuss concerns if theirs and any perceived strengths and weaknesses, discuss their goals, and help them acquire the skills necessary to give them the confidence and motivation to reach their goals. Whether it be as simple as passing an assignment, course, or perfecting their writing and researching skills throughout their academic careers.
