About Phoebe
I can work after 3 remotely on all days of the week, and after 4 for In-Person sessions in Center City on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I can also tutor and then babysit elementary schoolers and beyond until you get home from work. I know CPR from my tenure as a Girl Scout and many fun activities and snacks to entertain your child with.
I am professional to the extent needed, but still fun and caring. I'll connect easily with anyone and create a strong bond that can bridge the gap between learning and fun. I wish to make kids excited to learn, and I know that the biggest step in that process is a memorable teacher.

When lessons are taught by someone you consider a friend, you are far more likely to be enthusiastic and interested in the topic as opposed to being taught by a figure of authority. It is my
philosophy with teaching to be a friend first and a teacher second to your child/student, and to never make an enemy of learning.
Over many years of experience with children of ages 2-18, I have perfected strategies to make learning anything enjoyable and rewarding, and a small background in psychology allows me to better understand the developmental stage and needs of your child/student.
Based on your child/student's curriculum, I can assist with their homework and supplement their learning with lessons that support future learning. I will always start with the hardest part first and work our way down through homework, and then with any extra time I can prepare them for their next exam and teach them something new about the subject that may spark a genuine interest in a subject.
I specialize in Math of any kind up to BC Calculus, English and Literature, and Physics, but I am well educated across the fields of STEM and even have 6.5 years of French practice.
