About Steve
through my vast knowledge of lead guitar. Over the years I have had private lessons from Mark Mcgee(Vicious Rumors, Greg Allman) Joel Hoekstra(Whitsnake,TSO, Night Ranger).
Hopefully I can help you fill the holes in your playing style, help you understand things that took me a long time and many lessons to understand, It's one thing to SHRED but It's a whole nother game to shred with melody and harmony.
I have been playing guitar for 30 plus years, helping people to enjoy making music even if it's just simple basic chords puts a smile on my face!!

It will depend on whether they want to learn lead guitar or Rythmn guitar, I will basically go over the minor/major chords and start with the pentatonic shapes, from there we would go into the 5 minor/major positions and the 7 modes. I would talk about theory to help my students understand basic concepts of music and chord progressions.
mostly Beginners
Practice, practice and more practice. 2/3 hours a day if possible. That's how i did it, but I came from the shredder era of guitar players.
I did a 9 hour workshop with Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth) and it was a great experience with understanding harmony.

Perfect! Steve is very positive and encouraging. He is an amazing rock player and I said "I want to play like that!" so he took it seriously and is working with me. He's been flexible and attentive and I never feel stupid or rushed. I've had a lot of teachers in my life and Steve is great!
