About Scott
I have been teaching guitar students of all ages and backgrounds for over 25 years. Whether you're a beginner or a gigging musician, I can help you reach your personal goals through personalized, expert instruction. I have a Bachelors in Music Theory/History, and decades of performance experience in rock, jazz, and classical music.
My teaching approach is guided by the principles that music is a language, and lessons are most effective when they emulate the professional experience (by setting objectives and flexing creativity).

Our family has been working one on one with Lyle for 1 1/2 for guitar lessons for our now 9 year old. Since this time he has learned to read music and play the guitar. Lyle is very patient with him and takes the time to explain things thoroughly in a way that he can understand. He enjoys his lessons and enjoys learning the new songs and techniques that Lyle introduce to him. Lyle has also been great working with our family on rescheduling lessons when needed.
