I am a profesional al musician, guitarist and music teacher with more than 20 years of experience. I hold a Masters degree in music from New York University. Yuri is a very thorough teacher, he knows a lot about functional harmony, arranging, and composing, and is very good at communicating his knowledge. He also is able to pinpoint the knowledge that is most necessary to you at the point you're in, and give you that first, rather than spend endless time teaching you stuff you already know or might not be able to use immediately.
Yuri has been an inspiration for me since I first took a class with him in 2014. His understanding of such a wide variety of genres and his genuine passion for music and its roots have generated a great impact in my education and development. He is not only a wonderful guitarist, but also a beautiful human being, educator and artist.
