I had really good time learning guitar with Will. During lessons, he focuses mostly on what you would like to learn from theory to technique and often gives feedback in order for improvement. Also, I became more confident in my vocal/guitar performance. Whether you are a beginner or advanced player, there's always something to learn from taking classes with Will.

Will is an excellent teacher who is very in touch with how to teach each student effectively. My husband, daughter, and I all take lessons from him and are happy with how much we are learning with every lesson!

Will is very attuned to his students’ needs. He understands what motivates my son and is there with the right mix of praise and encouragement. Will is a talented musician and teacher and my son loves guitar because of him.

Will is just a genuinely awesome person. He has a great, relaxed style that allows us to come up with a game plan to improve the specific things I wanted to improve. He's a wealth of information off the top of his head. I've yet to ask a question he's not had an answer for at the ready. His genuinely positive disposition makes meeting with him, to learn and improve my general noodling, the highlight of my week.

We love Will! My son has been taking lessons for over 2 years now. At first in person and now on Zoom. Will is patient knowledgeable and creative with his teachings. My son has learned many songs and looks forward to his lesson every week with his friend Will.

I really enjoy learning from Will because he really knows my style and how to find songs that will help me grow in different ways. He’s also amazing at putting together guitar arrangements for songs, sometimes in very short periods of time. I can bring a song to him with no chords or sheet music and he’ll come back to me with detailed versions tailored to my skill level and potential. He really seems to enjoy what he does and is as eager to learn new music from his students as his students are to learn from him. His love of music really shines through; it’s been a privilege to learn from him.

He makes every session engaging and fun, even as we tackle challenging pieces. From the music school where I first met Will Hughes, he was known as the Best and most sought after guitar instructor. Will’s a good dude, knowledgeable and gives good feedback. He’s responsive to the direction I want to take the lessons. He’s also been flexible when I’ve had work emergencies in switching lesson hours, which I greatly appreciate and value.

As a busy working parent picking guitar and singing back up after a 5 year hiatus, Will’s lessons are just right for me. I just wanted to be able to get back into music and have fun playing songs I love, and Will met me where I was at and gently pushed me to expand my skills at my own pace without ever making me feel pressured to practice more than I have time for or learn things I’m not that interested in. We did a few in person lessons before having to switch to online, which has worked fine. I highly recommend Will as a guitar and voice teacher!

Will is an excellent guitar teacher. Our son has been studying with Will for over 5 years and he says that Will makes learning fun and has a great rapport with kids. He is very pleasant and extremely kind. We are very proud of our sons ability to play the guitar under Will's tutelage.

Will has been teaching me for a few years now. I came into his classes with pretty limited experience, mostly self-taught on the guitar playing chords and not reading tabs. I was 30 with 2 kids and wanting to revisit guitar lessons as an outlet. It's been an absolute dream working with him. I look forward to lessons weekly and almost never miss a week. It's just such a blast because he can listen to any song and instantly pick up on how teach you how to play. Best part has been the fact we've been building in complexity on my skill set. I can easily look backwards to see why he taught me certain songs based on my tastes to continually get better. He's also just an all around good person--really thoughtful and clearly enjoys his craft.

I've shifted to all virtual lessons the last 3 months and I actually prefer it now. COVID has not prevented me from continuing to grow and learn. Will is very good on Zoom and always on-time. I've recommended him to every family and friend now that he's full time on Zoom lessons.

Will is a wonderful patient teacher! I am a beginner adult learning guitar and vocals. My children have had lessons with other instructors and quit because it was not an enjoyable experience. My lessons with Will are via Zoom and it is very effective. I highly recommend Will!!

He keeps lessons interesting by providing multiple types of pieces of work on and helps you learn particular songs that you might be interested in. He provides a lot of feedback, including positive feedback, that helps keep you motivated and excited to progress. I started off having never picked up a guitar but just a couple months in, I already feel much more confident and comfortable with the instrument, and so very excited to keep learning! Additionally, you won't feel any pressure from Will to practice a certain amount or progress at a certain rate. He is laid back, supportive, and provides an environment that feels engaging without generating stress or setting unrealistic expectations. In short, I highly recommend Will for lessons. Will is a very experienced, knowledgeable and enjoyable teacher to work with. He has helped me immensely with his patience, support, encouragement and finding ways to keep me engaged and committed after several attempts at lessons in the past led to my giving up and feeling overwhelmed and incapable of learning the guitar. Will makes the process interesting, challenging and creative and celebrates small improvements even when I'm not aware of progress. His teaching style and personality is cool and I look forward to each lesson.
