About Amanda
My name is Amanda and I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2018. This is my 7th year teaching. I first started by teaching 7th/8th grade science. I then moved into my degree field of Career and Technical Education (6-12) for the past 5 years.
In high school and college I excelled in reading and writing. I really enjoyed any education related courses at Appalachian, in addition to child development, nutrition courses and psychology courses.
I am currently working to obtain my Master’s Degree from Liberty University Online in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Teaching is my passion and I’m fueled by helping others succeed. Learning is a lot easier when I’ve built a rapport with my students. I’m excited to help and watch growth happen!
