About Chan

Hello! I’m a dedicated and results-driven language tutor with a strong passion for teaching Mandarin and Cantonese. With years of experience helping students—especially primary school learners—achieve top grades in Chinese, I understand how to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and levels. My approach is always student-focused. I create a friendly, supportive environment that encourages students to speak confidently, ask questions freely, and truly enjoy the learning process. Whether you’re learning for school, work, or personal interest, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. You can trust that I take my role seriously. I’m committed to delivering well-prepared, engaging lessons, and I take pride in seeing my students progress. Professional, patient, and approachable—I’m here to make your language learning journey both successful and enjoyable.

About the lesson

As a passionate and experienced language tutor, my goal is to make learning Mandarin and Cantonese both enjoyable and effective. I focus on interactive, real-life conversations and use visual aids, role-play, storytelling, and games to make lessons engaging, especially for younger learners. For older students or adults, I tailor lessons towards their specific goals—be it travel, business, or exam preparation.

Each class typically runs for 60 minutes, with a flexible structure depending on the student’s level and learning pace. I emphasize listening, speaking, reading, and writing equally to help build confidence and fluency.

With a strong background in teaching, I’ve helped many primary school students achieve A+ grades in Chinese. I also teach Cantonese to all levels, including complete beginners and non-native speakers. Whether you're a young learner, a working adult, or someone learning for fun, my lessons are designed just for you!
