About Emily

I am a 26 years old, 4th year kindergarten teacher, with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Special Education and a Masters in Education with a focus on reading development. I am reliable educated on providing instruction, and passionate about helping children become the best learns they can be.

Seeing students grow in their learning makes my job meaningful.

I began my undergraduate teaching career in August 2013 as an Elementary Education college student. I completed over 300+ hours of field experience in K-5 classrooms throughout college. After recieving my degree, and beginning graduate school, I became a full time kindergarten teacher in 2017.

I am a 4th year kindergarten teacher with experience teaching groups of 20+ students, as well as three years experience of working one-on-one to improve reading development. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, specializing in Special Education and a Masters in Education with an emphasis in reading development.

I have four years experience of creating an executing fun and engaging lessons to improve academic success.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I work towards building a professional relationship by getting to know him/her as a person, by understanding their interests, strengths and weaknesses, and attitude towards learning. After getting to know the student, I then complete an assessment to better understand their needs for tutoring.

I have worked with many different students from different racial, economic, and educational levels. My main focus is students in Kindergarten - 5th grade.

As a teacher during this pandemic, I have found great joy in teaching my kindergarten students over Zoom and pre-recorded instructional vidoes. Amid an unusual time, I look forward to seeing the incredible growth that my students are continuing to make in their learning.
