About Emily
Hello! My name is Emily Holmes, I am a Math tutor and I love it. My academic background is a 1st class Masters in Mathematics from the best university in the UK, as ranked by The Guardian University Guide, the University of St Andrews.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds, spanning various levels and ages. What I find particularly rewarding about tutoring is the ability to convey the beauty of mathematics through a multitude of teaching approaches. Whether you prefer a structured syllabus or a more flexible, discussion-based approach, I am eager to tailor my teaching style to suit your preferences. My goal is not only to help you comprehend mathematical concepts but to also instill a genuine appreciation for the subject. Emily tutored our son in Math at ages 10/11 and 15/16. She was absolutely amazing. In addition to her obvious talent and love of Math, her approach to teaching is superb. She is calm, patient and explains things with such simplicity and clarity.
