About Sandra
I consider myself a lifelong learner as well as a teacher. I have a degree in aerospace engineering and have several years of experience with tutoring several areas of math.
I remember teaching as far back as when I was in elementary school. I would help students with their writing and reading in place of my standard curriculum. I was in a gifted program so I had a lot more flexibility with how I managed my time during the school day. Over the years I continued to take on tutoring opportunities.
I have an aerospace engineering degree, so I have taken extensive math courses. I have also tutored for several years.

I like to understand what their current knowledge level is, as well as what their learning style is. I also ask about what material they are currently learning and what they are hoping to gain from tutoring.
I have worked with students ranging from elementary school all the way to college. I have worked with students that were significantly younger as well as older. I work well with different types of students as long as there is a mutual understanding of what goal we are trying to reach in their learning.
Be clear on what you are looking for from a tutor. Learning a subject that you are not strong and can be very difficult and overwhelming at times, so it is important to remain optimistic.
