About Casie
I am a NY State certified teacher in Childhood Education (1-6) and Math Education (7-12). I have tutored elementary and secondary math for several years both privately and through tutoring centers.
I love when students have been struggling with a concept and it finally clicks. It is hard not to be proud and excited for them when they have worked hard and found success!
NY state teacher certification in Childhood Education (1-6) and Math Education (7-12). I have also worked in schools for several years, taught freshman level math at Nazareth College for over 5 years, and tutored many students over the past 10+ years.

When working with a new student, I like to spend some time getting to know my student and his or her insterests. How I work with each student varies based on the student. I like to ask to see what their expectations are. Are they looking for homework support? Do they need to review concepts? Do they prefer me to lead a lesson, or have them work through independently and cover content as difficulties arise.
