About Caroline
I was an elementary special education teacher in FCPS with 5 years of teaching experience through 2022. I recently had a baby and am now staying home with him but still tutoring while I work on a masters degree. I love working with children of all ages but I primarily work with children in K-6 in the areas of reading, writing, math, social studies and science. I have several years of tutoring experience and have references as well. I am caring, and really enjoy building a relationship with the students I work with. It's important to me that they feel successful and I try to always make sure they feel that way! Outside of teaching and tutoring I have worked with children as a volleyball coach, Girls on the Run coach, and homebound teacher in FCPS. I also have worked as a nanny during the summer months.
I am a K-12 certified special education teacher.

I like to discuss with the parent any areas of need and goals for the student. I also want to get an idea of current strategies or things that work/do not work for the child. I also like to do some informal assessments to get an idea of where the child is in a reading and/or math.
