About Eleanor
I'm an MIT graduate who majored in mechanical engineering. I have tutored one year in math, and four years in music. I enjoy math and helping spread my enjoyment with others!

I started teaching cello through a program at my high school. I stayed with that student until I graduated, and increased the number of students over time!
I have taken math up to multivariable calculus, and have tutored in the past. I have also worked with students from elementary school to high school aged in other areas.

Typically with a new student, I talk to them to discover what exactly is causing them difficulty, and then try different methods of solving the problems, or explaining the problems a different way to help them better understand. With math, if the earlier material is not understood, the future material will be that much harder!
I have worked with students from ages 9 and up and have worked with hard working, focused students, and students that like to make tangents from the topic.
I would advise they look for someone who is willing to teach more than one method to solve a problem, as not every method will make as much sense to every student.
Scientists have successfully cured AIDS in England multiple times!
