About Nitya
Hello guys! I have been tutoring math throughout my high school, so I am fresh with knowledge. For this online platform (on preply) I will only be tutoring SAT, ACT and PSAT math.
However, I am tutoring many students offline for IGCSE Mathematics and AS/A Level Mathematics as well.
My high school GPA was a 4.0 and I have gotten an 800 on the SAT math section. I can also help students in middle school and highschool as well.
For the SAT math, half of my students achieved a score of 750+ on the exam, while the others scored at least a 650 minimum and a 700 on an average.
When teaching my students, my goal is to help them understand the concepts so that they will be able to crack questions without assumptions. I will provide the tricks to help solve questions in no time, since the SAT is all about time management. I will also provide worksheets, prep materials and many practice tests. My aim is to help my students enhance their critical thinking and learning skills.

I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to teach in a one-on-one environment, to concentrate my focus on one eager student, and to help that student achieve his or her target. I love building the confidence of a student and sharing the excitement that comes with change. As a tutor, I would help my students prepare for exams, work together on where they need guidance with, and help them improve in a particular concept that they're struggling in.

Before I start a class with a new student they would have to take a placement test (I make that) so that I can know what their core and weak subjects are. Assessing how they've done, I will proceed with certain concepts in which they struggle in. My methodology for teaching usually starts by teaching the basic concepts and then moving on to the harder questions. This helps my students answer questions based on conception rather than assumption.
