About Kim
I am a retired Elementary Teacher and Reading Specialists with a Master's degree. I have over 25 years of elementary teaching experience. Throughout these years, I provided extra academic support to elementary students at all levels. I spent additional time teaching the students the skills and strategies that they needed to be successful. Even though I am retired, I want to continue to provide the academic support that children may need.
I am currently tutoring other elementary students remotely and look forward to helping your child as well.
I enjoy working with kids and watching the excitement on their faces when they understand a skill or concept and can apply it to their work.
I have several teachers in my family. My grandma was the person that inspired me to work eith children and become a teacher. When I started college, I decided that I wanted my Associate's degree to be in child development so that I could teach preschool while I was finishing my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. The most rewarding part of being a teacher is working with a variety of children and helping them be successful.

Once someone contacts me indicating intrest in my tutoring services, I will get a phone number from them and call them to discuss services and determine a time that works best for all.
I will set up a zoom tutoring session and help the student with skills and strategies that they need to master for a particular subject or just provide assistance on assignments or homework.
I have taught students in Kindergarten-6 th grade as well as taught art K-6. I also spent 17 years as the Title 1 Coordinator and Title 1 Teacher for my district.
Look for tutors that have experience and have a teaching degree or a specialists degree in a particular area.
