About Maimouna
I've been taking advanced math since I was in middle school, and I have a very good comprehension on the different learning aspects of students based on classmates and teachers around me. The math I am currently in is AP Calculus BC and I am in the top 5% of my Junior class, so I am not unfamiliar with hard work. I maybe new to this online site; however, I've been tutoring a multitude of classmates and family members since 8th grade.
I understand that schooling systems don't make a lot of room for students if they aren't able to understand their one version of teaching, so I really do enjoy helping students because everyone's potential can't always be seen through a letter grade.
I've been tutoring since 8th grade, and I've been volunteering as a K-12 teacher at the Lighthouse Church since 9th grade. I would typically teach Pre-K students, 3rd graders, and 5th graders

Because of the current pandemic, I try to avoid in-person; however, if the student has difficulty with online tutoring, I will see in I can make adjustments to meeting up with them. I typically start by asking the sorts of overall lessons being taught in class, then I go over the core basics to see how the student works and what they know. From there, I go through all aspects of the lesson and give time as we go for the student to tell me if they've grasped what I've said.
I usually work with students in Algebra I, Algebra II, College Algebra, Basic Math, etc. The age range I've typically worked with are middle schoolers and high schoolers.

Details
I typically price for $20-$30 per hour for midday to afternoon tutoring sessions; however, if a student wishes to meet up in the early morning (6am to 10am), I will usually charge $35 to $45.
