About Keith
I use an "I do, we do, you do" model for teaching, but pride myself on adjusting to what each student personally needs from me. I like to use visual models when possible, and encourage note-taking from students.
I've been working with students since 2014; as an instructional aide, teacher, substitute teacher, and tutor. The 'aha' moments where a student makes a breakthrough are the most rewarding of my career.
I've worked with students since 2014: as an assistent, a classroom teacher, a substitute teacher, and tutor. I have a Master's of Arts in Education.

When working with a new student, I would assess their current proficency with a few sample questions in the subject(s) we are working in (or homework questions if the student has them). In math, that means looking at their current subject in question, and basic math skills like mental math. With permission, I would contact the student's teachers to get their perspective.
