About Erin
I am an innovative tutor who finds exciting ways to bring information to students. I don't believe that the cookie cutter ways of learning applies to all students. Therefore, I incorporate hands-on activities and relate information to real world experiences to ensure that all students grasp the material.
I am a certified 7-12 English teacher and have been teaching for 8 years. While I have spent the bulk of my years teaching 9th-12th grades, I have also taught 3rd-5th and college aged students. My passion for teaching made me switch from a legal career to one in education. I enjoy watching students succeed and have found that I have more of an impact as a teacher than I would have as a lawyer.
I enjoy the look on students' eyes when they finally have that "a ha! I've got it!" moment. The feeling of knowing that you've helped someone understand a concept that may have been a struggle to them is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
I enjoy knowing that I've made a difference in someone's life. I generally keep track of students after I've taught them in order to track their success.

Ms. Elliott was my 12th grade English teacher and I am a better student because of her. She pushes you beyond your comfort level just to prove that you can, in fact, succeed.
