About Danielle
Before working with a student, I have already taken the time to complete and review their work so every moment of our session is dedicated to the needs of the student. By doing this, I already have an idea of where they stand with the material and how I can help them have success.
I so much enjoy seeing the progress and confidence boost in my students when they are able to have success on their own! That brings me the most joy!
I've been tutoring for years helping my sister and family members. Once I began helping my sister during her Senior Year and she had success, word got around and I've been tutoring full-time ever since. Working one-on-one with students inspired me to expand my offerings and create my own SAT and ACT Program to help more students and set them up for success in their college careers.
I am hired as a Lead SAT Tutor for Brighter Horizon Foundation: a non-profit organization dedicated to helping students from low-income families become the first generation to attend and graduate from a 4-Year University. I also attended Rutgers University and was a student in their 5-Year Masters Plan to become a Teacher.

When working with a new student, we coordinate a date/time that works best for them and whether they'd like to work on a single session or weekly basis. From there I send them a Welcome Email that includes a weekly Zoom link and ask them to please send me whatever it is they are working on in class to get an idea of where they're at in their material.
I have worked with all types of students and learners from 8th grade up to College. My students' skill levels range from those who have an IEP to Advanced Honors.
Advice I'd give a student is to make sure you enjoy working with your tutor and to find one who keeps you engaged and motivated!
A recent event I am fond of is a student who increased her SAT score after working through my program by 200+ points which was the goal SAT score her Guidance Counselor wanted her to reach. Since, not only has she been accepted to her top choice but was also accepted into the Honors College and is up for a Scholarship!

Details
Yes. Single sessions are $75/hr and I offer Package Deals of 4 Sessions for 10% discount, totaling $270. I also have my own SAT and ACT 8-Week Program, created from the College Board SAT Guide for solely Math, English or both. The program is $124/session where we meet either once a week or twice a week. All sessions are virtual and 60min. in length. For every 8 sessions purchased, the student receives a free 30min. session to be used the week of the SAT. The average increase of my students' SAT scores is 200 points.
