About Jeff
I work well with students of all skill levels and I am good at breaking down problems and explaining them in a way that makes difficult concepts easier.
I love when students understand something that seemed tough to them.
I got started in tutoring when some of my classmates needed help back in high school. I got started in teaching when a small school needed a math teacher and called me offering me the job.
I have a Bachelor's in Math from UCLA, and close to 30 years experience tutoring and teaching.

I spend time getting to know the student, and finding the areas that he or she is struggling with. Knowing what support is needed helps a lot.
All different types. I have worked with students in AP classes and students who were struggling with earlier classes. I have also worked with a number of autistic students
Look for someone who is patient and who can break down concepts in a way to make them understandable. You want someone who will be easy and pleasant to work with, so you don't have an unpleasant experience.

Jeff worked successfully with all of my kids, in both math and chemistry. Each one has a different learning style, and he adapted his methods accordingly. He guided two of them to A's in Chemistry at a demanding college prep school. He is very patient and is able to explain things clearly. I would not hesitate to recommend him!
