About Judy
I am a hands on tutor. I believe all kids can become a confident math student given the right tools. Kids needs activities that allow them to see and apply math topics on grade level. I have been a math teacher in Wylie Texas for 14 years and received Teacher of the Year for Wylie ISD in2014. My experience is 5th and 6th grade regular and advanced/GT academics. I have also taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade math summer school grade recovery. I have been a private tutor for 10 years.
I love to see kids learn and enjoy math!
I was a retail manager and needed to find a job that made a difference to perople in the world. My first job was a long term substitute in Wylie ISD
I have a 4-8 generalist certificate and a Bachelor’s in Finance.

I start with working on skills that they student is working on in class. That helps me see where they are in their understanding of their math concepts. I will build a skill recovery around what I see they are missing in the lesson. I spend the first 20 min. working on foundation skills and then on things they are learning in class.
I teacher from special education students all the way up to Gifted and Talented students.
Look for someone who loves the subject their teaching and makes learning fun.
