About Mark
I aspire to be a professor later in life. I love to teach and tutor people in the classes I am confident in. I'm an electrical engineering major with a specialization in combat systems engineering at Rowan University.
I've been tutoring and helping people in a variety of math classes, and I'm looking forward to continuing helping other students.
I started tutoring/teaching by helping my peers with their own work in many of my classes. Eventually, I reached out to a few family friends and taught their children in their struggling topics. I really enjoyed it a lot! So now I just began my tutoring career here on this website, and I'm looking forward to meeting and helping even more students!
I love to get to know the person I'm tutoring and their hobbies. So, I can relate the content that I'm teaching them to something that interests them. For instance, I love to play sports and I may relate some problems to sports if the student also enjoys sports.

I typically start by getting to know the student so I can relate my content towards their interests. Then, I'll address the topic that they're struggling with the most, and I'll make customized practice problems along with teacher given ones. I will be determined and consistent when it comes to each topic and ensuring that the student fully understands it.
I have worked with college, high school, and elementary students. The youngest student I have taught was in 6th grade, and the oldest I have taught was a junior in college.
I would tell the student to make sure that your teacher is as hard-working and determined to ensure that you learn as I am.
Recently, I went snowboarding over this winter and I had a great time with my family! I haven't been snowboarding in years and it was really fun to get out there again.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should make clear and address any topics that they're struggling with. Even if it is a topic that they received a high grade on in school, but they didn't fully understand the material. I not only want to make sure that the student's grades are high, but I want to make sure that they really know the material. As, this will set them up for great things to come in the upcoming classes.
