About Parsa
As a current medical student and UCLA graduate, I know firsthand how important it is to truly understand new material rather than simply memorize it. My goal as a tutor is to help students build that understanding so they can approach their coursework with more confidence and ultimately improve their academic performance.
I began tutoring several years ago because I enjoyed helping other students strengthen their understanding of challenging subjects. Since then, I have worked with students across a range of academic levels, focusing on both subject mastery and effective study strategies.

* Second-year medical student at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine
* B.S. in Biology from UCLA
* IB Diploma recipient with 20+ IB-level courses completed
* 1500 SAT score, with 780 Math and 720 English

Starting with a pre-assessment to see where the student is and follow by focusing on areas of weakness and see how we can improve them. Once we have strengthened those areas, we will move onto build test stamina by working on multiple sets of problems and also gain pacing skills to beat the time.
I have worked with kids from elementary to high school with all various educational backgrounds.
Look for tutors who don't care solely about getting you in their schedule but someone who truly wants you to succeed.
My last student was able to improve their test score by at least 100 points using my tutoring strategies.

I have had a very positive experience. Feedback is provided extremely quickly when working on practice problems, and class timings are very flexible which makes it easy to adjust into my schedule. The explanations are also well explained and helpful, and multiple different ways to solve the problems are taught to make it even easier.
My sessions with Parsa help me to become more comfortable with solving problems and feel catered to my style of learning. I felt very encouraged and was able to work my way through things step by step.

Details
i mainly charge by the length of the program and what subject I teach. I do value myself as a long term tutor. All prices paid are non refundable after initial class and I only ask for a 24hour notice for rescheduling without counting a session. Initial payment represents agreement of terms.
