About Doug
B.S., M.A. from St. Louis University and Ph.D. from Northwesten University, all in mathematics. 40 years experience teaching algebra, precalculus, AP BC calculus, linear algebra and multivariable. Thirty one years at Phillips Academy, Andover, MA. I have used TI-84 and GeoGebra, a free dynamic piece of software. You can find examples of my GeoGebra applets at dougkuhlmann.webs.com or at GeoGebra.org.
I enjoy seeing the 'aha' moment when a student gets it.

Perfect! Doug is a great tutor! He’s helped me understand statistics a little more. We just started but so far so good. He’s so kind and truly cares about your work/ education. He is also very punctual. All I have to say is if you need a tutor in Math, Doug is the right person!

Perfect! Doug has been wonderful to work with. He is very patient and does not mind going over concepts repeatedly while I learn them. He is punctual and always comes prepared. In some instances, he has emailed me throughout the week with tips to work through problems that I am working on in preparation for our next meeting.
