About Matthew
My best quality as a tutor is patience. You are paying me to help you learn - and that's exactly what I plan to do. Knocking out homework problems might hlep in the short term, but I want to teach you the tools to learn math on your own and not be intimidated by it! I have taken almost every math class under the sun from basic algebra to Partial Differential Equations. I understand exactly how to eliminate excess information and get to the bottom of what actually matters. I will work with you to develop an intuitive understanding of concepts that you will be able to apply in all of your studies.
I love the moment when the "light bulb turns on." My goal is to help students understand concepts as opposed to just completing problems. It's great to teach a student how to do a problem and then watch them do the next one all on their own.

- Begin tackling problems. I found the most success in math courses by learning theory through problems. Initially, theory is difficult to digest without any concrete examoles. I prefer to get straight to the application of the theory.
