About Mindy

My teaching began with home schooling my ADHD nephew from middle school through high school graduation. After, I began privately tutoring students from 1st grade to 5th. Recently I began opening up to working with teens.

My education ends at my second year of college where I realized I did not want to take the standard route. I continued my self education in various avenues and built a life surrounded by learning. I transformed my love of learning into teaching when I home schooled my nephew, who incidentally has ADHD and needed more than what standard curriculum could offer. Once he graduated, I began full time tutoring two home school students for two consecutive years. Sadly, they are moving. Recently I began tutoring two girls in high school level. Currently I have openings.

About the lesson

When I begin, I get a feel for where they are at in the subjects. Each student does an assessment. I then know how much they know and where they have holes. Next, I try to see what approach, based on their best learning type, will be advantageous for them and set clear goals for the student to reach their target.

I have worked with kids from first grade to twelfth. My first student, who really taught me a great deal, has ADHD and high functioning Autism. His diploma proudly sits on his wall.

Ask questions! Feel a teacher out for someone invested in the child's advancement in that subject, but also in life.

I am keenly interested in the economic adjustments at hand and the supply and demand issues we are faced with. Beyond this, I look with earnest at the innovations Elon Musk's enterprises and schemes will muster up.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How much do you enjoy learning? What could make it better? Ask yourself what qualities you most want in a tutor. What teacher did you like? What was it about them you liked? Was there a time you really loved learning about something? What was it? Why did that interest you? Are you willing to learn new ways to think about things?

Ms. Mindy is an amazing teacher she loves kids and has such a fun personality! I love how she simplifies things to the kids and they understand so easily and clearly. Her energy is so positive and exciting and that helped my son to be excited about learning.. I wish I didn’t have to move because I would always have her tutor my son!
She’s absolutely an amazing teacher and a loving person!
