About Elizabeth
Hi, I am a recent Cal Poly San Luis Obispo graduate in Aerospace Engineering concentrating in Astronautics with an emphasis on Attitude Control Systems. I currently work as Level 2 Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach. I enjoy tutoring and helping encourage student to understand and love math!
Provides personal math tutoring for all ages. Flexible hours and scheduling.
I enjoy mentoring and helping students to gain the confidence to succeed in math, whatever that may look like for each student. Not everyone is meant to be a Rocket scientist but everyone needs math! Math teaches a specific way of thinkng and logical problem solving that every person can benfit from throughout a lifetime.
I have tutored peers and younger students all throughout high school and college in prealgebra, algebra, algebra 2, geometry, trigonometery, pre calculus, calculus 1, and calculus 2, AP calc AB and AP calc BC.

I typically let students attempt problems on their own first. Then, I typically give bread crumbs a long the way to get them to the solution. If there is a lack of foundation or a student doesnt know where to start, I will go over the basic foundations and do other, similar practice problems before having them complete the initial problem. I value growth in knowledge and confidence over everything. Getting good grades in important but it is far more important that a student sees that hard work is rewarded with growth which is valuable at any scale. Grattitude for growth is what will ultimately allow your student to perservere through difficult times and task throughout their life and career - not just in their math classes!

Details
I charge $60/hr for High school courses and $70/hr for college courses, SAT prep and AP courses. For each hour of tutoring, I do 2 hours of prepartaion to be sure your students is getting the most out of each session. Please send me the course materials, syllbus, course outline, HW assignments, text book information, and any test prep provided by your teacher.
