About Paul

From an early age Math was a subject of great interest to me. I found out that Math when taught the correct way, is the most flexible and interesting subject. I Started tutoring at a young age by helping my brothers and friends. When I was in high school I worked as a teacher assistant and as a tutor after school. Tutor helped pay my University tuition, my first degree was B.S in civil engineering and I graduated with high honors. I took a part time math teaching job as I was finishing my master’s degree in Civil Engineering

My first job was teaching Grades 8 and 9 and helping students with special needs through one to one sessions. Two years later I started teaching math for grades 10, 11 and 12 as a full time teacher. Later that year I Got Promoted to math coordinator for the whole school. In 2018, I took on a new challenge by becoming the School’s Director of Academic Affairs, helping many students made me realize that learning should not be stressful to anyone. It is my duty and my goal to provide students with the self-confidence and tools to reach their full potential.

the first thing I do is a quick assessment of the student's knowledge. That makes me better understand how to help that student.

Makes sure that your tutor helps you understand rather than memorize
