About Caitlyn
I have worked with numerous students and understand the importance of clearity and patience. I am willing to commit to you or your child and help in any way I can.
I have been working with children since I was 13, working in day camps and babysitting. I understand every child is different and respond differently to each styles of learning.
In school, I have made high honor roll as I hold academics a huge prioity and importance in life, while enjoying it as much as possible.
When I would babysit children afterschool, they would need help with their homework and I found a passion for it. I think it's important to excel in school, it helps build confidence and sets up for success later in life.

First we have to start with what the student knows well and what the student has trouble with. Many times in mathematics, things overlay or repeat, so sometimes a lesson needs to be repeated, to refresh the memory.
After identifying which skills need extra practice, we will work together first thinking how we will tactical the math problem, then showing all the work from start to finish to vidually show how the math problem is solved.
Typically ages 6-11 or grades 1-7. I have also worked with students with intelectual diabilities.
Please don't be afraid to ask questions. Math can be tricky and it's important to be honest with your tutor so they are able to find a way to teach you in the easiest way. Math is also a great subject to incorperate a student's interest, such as math problems.
