About Daehee
Hey guys, I am a student at Cornell University who received a 526 on the MCAT on my first try in July of 2020. My own journey to taking the MCAT started from a place of anxiety and worry, but after many many months of preparation, I was able to figure out the test in and out and I hope to share that knowledge. My goal as your personal tutor is to provide individualized assistance and information about the test as painlessly as possible!
Whether you are in the beginning of your prep and have no idea where to start (like I was lol) or in the middle of your journey and looking for guidance, I will be able to provide a custom-tailored schedule, help you with difficult concepts, and provide a plethora of study and testing strategies, which were the absolute KEY to getting a 100th percentile score. Although I didn't use any tutors myself, I am sure that my journey would have been a lot easier on myself had I sought out some reliable help.
I have been a TA for Biochemistry since Fall of 2019 and have also been tutoring as volunteer work since high school. I have a real passion for teaching, and can effectively transition these skills into an online modality!
I've been tutoring students extensively since the 10th grade, ranging from essay-writing to competitive math, in an age-range of elementary schoolers to college students. The one constant in all my experience has been the joy I get from seeing an "aha!" moment and really seeing people understand a difficult concept. I think that a lot of the subjects on the MCAT are truly fascinating, and this is one of the keys to success on the exam; being able to enjoy what you're studying. As a tutor, it's my job to make both the concepts and the experience of learning itself as enjoyable as possible!
