About August
August Eriksmoen is a Grammy nominated producer, Tony nominated orchestrator, as well as twice nominated for the Drama Desk Award. He is a recipient of London's Olivier Award. He has toured all over the country as a multi-instrumentalist and conductor. He is an accomplished arranger and orchestrator, having worked on many Broadway musicals and TV shows, including the the recent hit Come From Away, Steve Martin’s Bright Star, the recent London hit The Prince Of Egypt, the series Once Upon A Time, A Christmas Story Live, and Disney’s Descendants.
August has been using Logic for 20 years. He can teach you all about home studio production, and how to make your tracks feel like real live band/orchestra.

I've been music directing shows since I was 20 years old, which entails teaching vocals to groups of 30 people at a time, and conducting orchestras.

I like to have a conversation about what they're interested in and what they're working on. It's great if they already have a project that needs help, but I'm always happy invent a custom project for the student to get going.
We will use screen sharing so that I can see exactly what you're doing and guide you in detail.

August is a first-class guitar and mandolin player, arranger and orchestrator on Broadway and in film in television, and an EXCELLENT teacher and communicator. I would work with him on any project in a heartbeat.
August is, quite simply, the most knowledgeable person I know on the craft of orchestration and its integration with Logic Pro. He's also an accomplished musician on stringed and keyboard instruments who has a comprehensive understands the function of rhythm section in an orchestration. When I need to learn a new skill with Logic, August is - hands down - my first call.
August is a wonderfully patient teacher and his expertise is boundless. He knows Logic. He's a master orchestrator. He's a killer guitarist. He's a musician's musician. I HIGHLY recommend him.
August is extremely experienced and a pro at personalizing his lesson plans to meet the student wherever they are in their experience.
