About Helen
About
“Helen is a professional with a high level of integrity and compassion for her students. She brings her vast experience as a medical assistant and nurse to the program. I have seen firsthand how she encourages her students and, when necessary, confronts them with care and empathy; both students and staff speak very highly of her. I feel fortunate and believe BTC should consider itself lucky to have her on staff. She came to the program under very unique and difficult circumstances and turned it into an opportunity that paid off for her, the students and the program.”
Cindy Alfano, Counselor Blackhawk Technical College

“...what a joy to have you on staff—the program is so much more stable and the students are so happy all because of you!”
Ann Krause

“Thank you for sending the wonderful news of the 2008 certification exam scores—quite a feat when they are competing with students from two year programs. You, Helen, their mentor, their facilitator, their coach, are to be congratulated! ”

My typical process for working with a new student is to first get to know a little about who they are, what they are passionate about, what learning style best suits their needs, and what are their individual strengths and goals.
