About Johnathan
My name is John Spruill and I’m a Sports Trainer. I was a D1 college athlete and have been a HS football coach for about a decade. I’m also a certified personal trainer.
My main focus is turning athletes into the best versions of themselves on and off the court/field.
I work with athletes of all backgrounds and sports on increasing their speed and agility while being able to maximize their power and performance outputs.
I also train adults/kids looking to get a better grasp on their own personal fitness and well being.
I started to train and coach kids as a way to give back to the youth. Sports changed my life as a young kid and helped me become the person I am today so I feel a special connection to it.
Multiple years coaching football as a head coach, Coordinator and position coach. I've completed different hands-on and online coaching clinics and am a certified personal trainer.

First we will meet to discuss goals. Then we'll have an evaluation process to determine what needs to be the main focus of the training to reach said goals and then we'll sit down and discuss the plan to get us to those goals.
I've worked with many players ranging from 4 yrs old to 18+ yrs old. I currently coach at Bloomingdale Senior High School
My only advise would be to find someone you can trust and feel comfortable with and around. There's a lot of trainers out there but not everyone is a perfect fit with your specific needs.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I always tell my clients and players they need to know their "WHY". Everyone needs something to motivate them to be the best version of themselves

Perfect! Works great with my son and really knows his stuff. Great person to work with.
Perfect! Very professional and works great with my son. He has a lot of information that he has passed on to my son and myself with drills to better himself with the quarterback position. Highly recommended.
Perfect! Only a couple of sessions in and we knew we found the right guy! Amazing coaching techniques that my son is grasping quickly. He is great at building their self confidence to help them believe in their abilities.

My son has been working with Coach Spruill for over two years and I cannot recommend him enough to others who want their sons to be trained by the best. It’s not just the way he prepares them physically for the game of football, but also mentally as well. Coach Spruill teaches them to not only be better players, but better teammates and provides them with lessons they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Coach spurll did an absolutely outstanding job with my son. We practiced with him a couple times a week. Coach not only worked on his conditioning, his footwork, and his routes. But he focused on what my son needed to improve all around. It gave my son a good outlet to talk to someone who understands the pressures. Coach went above and beyond the standard call of a personal coach. He worked with my son on his social media presence, and gave him some good counseling for his mental focus. Ultimately very satisfied and grateful for everything coach did for us. I would recommend him to just about anyone, and I would also use him again and again.
Coach John is focused on getting results and ensuring the best performance. My son has grown leaps and bounds and truly looks forward to each session!
