I've been playing piano just for fun for a number of years, but was self-taught for most of that time. I hadn't really improved for a while, and have always been afraid that I reinforcing bad habits, so I reached out to Helena. Since then, I've been a lot happier with my progress and urge anyone else looking to improve to commit to lessons.

Helena is an experienced, well-seasoned instructor with great qualities. She patiently observes you while fully taking in the fact everyone moves at a different pace. She will not shy away from giving you straight, methodical feedback though when she thinks you are ready to assimilate it. She's great at walking the thin between demanding more of you and letting you grow at your own comfortable pace.

I was taught by Helena in Vancouver, and I got nothing but praise to share about her. I was a relatively seasoned amateur pianist with somewhat big aspirations, a quality which got me feeling inundated when some instructors tried to correct my technique and style. Helena has an eye to see what works for you and what doesn't. She's got amazing observational qualities mixed with capacity to be patient, which make for an amazing teacher. Strongly recommend her for people at any levels.

Helena is a very talented and accomplished musician. She imparts excellent technique while at the same time instills a lifelong appreciation for music. Her passion for music is contagious and her command of both theory and practice along with her adaptable and patient teaching style has really enabled me to transcend my initial hurdles and become a significantly better pianist! I recommend her without hesitation.

Absolutely amazing. She can answer any question and tries to make connections to things that you are an expert in for a better understanding. Her skill is incredible by the way, and knows how to teach any level of experience. Please, if you are trying to learn piano, you WILL learn piano with her.

Music Entertainment

Helena came to our home prepared to play! She has a lot of skill. We really enjoyed her interpretations of some jazz standards, show tunes, but most of all, her skill with classical music.

It has been a long time since our piano was played like Helena played it. Her presence gave us the ambiance we wanted to celebrate our anniversary. If you have an opportunity to work with Helena, take it - you will not be disappointed!

Thank you very much for helping to make our evening, Helena!
