About Erika
I am an experienced private teacher and accomplished performer.
I am a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with a B.S. in Vocal Performance, and I recently completed an M.M. in Voice Pedagogy & Performance from the world reknowned Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.
I offer regular voice lessons for a variety of age groups and skill levels as well as audition preparation and performance coaching.
I've studied piano for 12 years including through college and I am comfortable teaching beginner through late intermediate level students.
I absolutely love helping my students accomplish their individual goals and getting to track their progress along side them. Music is a gift that everyone should get to be a part of.

I prefer to set up an initial consultation to discuss the student's goals and allow them to ask me any questions they might have. A good personality fit between the student and teacher and a clear understanding of what we are working toward is key.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Who is a musician that you admire?
Is there a song or a particular genre of music that you would especially like to learn to play or sing?
What is your favorite hairbrush microphone/shower opera/scream sing in the car song?
If you are a singer, what do you like about your voice? What would you change if you could?

Pricing varies depending on a couple of factors. Naturally, a charge a little bit more for gas and miles if I come to you and less if you come to me. I also charge differently for advanced/emerging professional voice students as these lessons require a great deal more preparation on my part than I do for beginner students. During this time when in-person lessons are suspended my rates are a bit more standardized for simplicity's sake.
Voice Lessons: $35 per half hour/$65 per hour
Piano Lessons: $30 per half hour/$55 per hour
