About Robert
I graduated from the University of Houston in 2005 with a bachelors in Biology and a minor in Spanish. I got my alternative certification shortly after wards and taught 7th grade science.
I believe my greatest strengths are my patience and ability to tailor my speech and instruction to the students interests, gifts, and abilities.
Patience, resilience, and creativity are essential when teaching. I pride myself on being able to modigy and adjust my tactics of instruction when I've reached a road block with a student.
Seeing a student "get" something and have that "ah-ha" moment is rewarding and satisfying.
-I have a bachelors in Biology (coursework included biology, chemistry, Earth science, ecology, etc) and earned a minor in Spanish.
-I earned my alternative certification after graduating from UofH
-Taught 7th grade science for a year
-Taught Sunday School for junior high, high school, and college students; teach piano lessons as well

There is no "one size fits all" approach to instruction. To make a meaningful and long-lasting impression, I find it best to meet the student where they are at, in terms of interests, abilities, etc.
I find that many learn best through tactile and visual means. Exploring and trial and error are wonderful instructors in my opinion.
