About Ashlee

Hello! This site doesn't allow me to contact you without paying to do so. Therefore, I will not be a ble to respond to everyone attempting to contact me through this site. Please visit my studio's website dyerpianoandvocalstudio.com if you are actually interested in my services.

This studio’s goals are for students of all ages to learn to creatively express themselves through music in an energetic and fun environment with a focus on healthy and tension free technique. The vocal and piano instructor's name is Ashlee Dyer, and she has been teaching for ten years. Mrs. Dyer has competed at the local, regional, national, and international level, and she has a bachelor's degree with focuses in vocal and piano performance with extra attention given to areas such as conducting and music education. She has performed professionally with both voice and piano, and she has experience with a variety of repertoire including classical music, opera, theater, jazz, art, and pop music. She enjoys coaching adults just as much as she loves teaching children.

I grew up in a musical household, and began formal music lessons when I was five. I expand my areas if study and excelled with auditions and competitions which led me to study music in college.  My professors encouraged me to begin a studio before had graduated because they believed I was already qualified to begin teaching. I began a formal music studio with their assistance in 2013 though I had been teaching casually for a few years prior to that time.

I have a decade of teaching experience with a variety of different ages and abilities including blindness and autism, and I have a bachelor's degree spanning several areas of study including vocal performance, piano performance, music education, and conducting.

I prefer to meet at a coffee shop with a new student to discuss my studio policy and answer questions in person before I agree to accept them. If we would both like to proceed with lessons, I collect a deposit and fit them into the studio schedule.

I have worked with ages 3-63, and I have worked with students who possess a variety of disabilities or conditions. Some of my students have had autism,  blindness, and ADHD.  I have also accompanied students on their battle with mental health issues and their fight with different sicknesses such as cancer or autoimmune disorders.

I would ask them what their personal experiences were with performing and teaching, and I would make sure their personality and teaching style aligns with the potential student's goals.

I recently moved to Texas, and I love the warmth!
