About Jacqueline
I offer flute, piccolo, fife, and piano lessons, both in person (in Northeast San Antonio) and online (to students across the United States). I currently have a few openings Monday-Saturday.
I love working with students of all ages to help them meet and exceed their musical goals!
I got started teaching my own 4 children on the piano when they were young; I later returned to college to earn a 2nd degree in Music so that I was qualified to teach professionally.
I have a bachelors degree in Music, I've been performing/accompanying on piano since 2000, and I've participated with Fiesta Flutes of San Antonio since 2015.

Step one for working with a new student is determining what level they are at, discussing their goals, and then selecting the best method book accordingly.
I've worked with children as young as 5 years old all the way up to adult students.
I would encourage a student/or the parent to call the teacher and ask questions about what to expect, studio policies, etc.
In December I hosted Christmas parties for my students. It was an opportunity for the students to perform a Christmas solo in a relaxed environment in front of their peers in my studio. We enjoyed snacks and played games. I was very proud of each student for participating!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1) Is the student committed to daily practice?
2) What options does the student have between lessons to communicate with the teacher about questions that may arise regarding their music?
3) How long does the teacher recommend that the student practice each day?

Jacqueline is very patient with my son who is 14. She lets him choose which pieces he wants to focus on while giving him practice exercises and other pieces as well. She is very positive and encouraging!
Jacqueline is very patient with my son in teaching piano. She lets him choose songs he likes, which gives him more motivation to learn and play certain songs. She is never late and is very professional. My son enjoys lessons with her which makes a huge difference in learning something new. She is super positive and encouraging. I definitely recommend Jacqueline!
Jacqueline is a very dedicated, approachable, and kind teacher. She has been wonderful teaching my teen daughter, and I’ve seen my daughters grow in her skill. I’ve decided to take lessons myself and am looking forward to learning more.
My daughter absolutely loves her piano lessons with Miss Jacqueline. She looks forward to them every week and absolutely hates if we have to miss for any reason. She is the perfect blend of challenging and encouraging. My daughter has had a stark improvement in her confidence since beginning her lessons 18 months ago.
I have three children taking piano lessons with Jacqueline since July of 2020, and I’m amazed by their progress! Jacqueline is incredibly patient and kind, especially with my child on the spectrum. All of my children love her and learn so much!
