About Lemuel
Martial Arts World & Fitness Center is under the guidance of 10 time black belt grand champion, and black belt hall of fame inductee, Shihan Lemuel Muhammad. Shihan is a senior master in the premier self defense system, VSK Jiujitsu. Shihan has over 30 years of uninterrupted martial arts training which includes 3 years of boxing. His school accepts students age 4 years and older. Shihan operates the largest VSK Jiujitsu school in the U.S. Shihan takes great care in teaching all who come into his dojo, especially the children. Shihan holds black belts in: Karate, Jiujitsu, Vee Jitsu Te, Sanuces and Kumite Ryu. Shihan is a servant transforming human life through the martial arts.
I enjoying helping others reach their desires and goals. Nothing is as satisfying as creating belief after doubt. Showing a person that they can even though they have not.
Shihan began teaching under the guidance and direction of Grandmaster Anthony Muhammad.
Shihan has more than 30 years of martial arts training. He has worked in the private sector as an executive protection specialist/bodyguard for more than 15 years.

We typically ask anyone interested in martial arts training to visit our school and experience a class. Additionally, we offer a 7 day pass for only $29.95 and if the new member likes the program they can apply the $29.95 to their enrollment within the 7 day period.
We have instructed all types of students. We teach youth, adults, troubled youth with a host of issues and or conditions. We reach every student where there are and bring them gradually to the desired result.
I would advise anyone looking for self defense training to sit down with the instructor and have a heart to heart conversation. Ask him/her everything you can think of and get a picture of who they are. Then you must actually experience their class then you are in a better position to make an educated choice.
We recently demonstrated at a back to school event at River Oaks mall. It was very exciting!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student should know whether or not they desire to learn how to fight (defend themselves) or learn the martial art system taught by the instructor. Prospective students should ask whether or not traditional values are taught in the school. Lastly, all schools and instructors are not equal, so the desired result may not be possible with joining a school based mostly by the tuition rate being low or high. A dojo should be clean, orderly, systematic wherein respect & discipline are paramount.

Shihan Lemmuel and the dojo family are amazing! It’s a clean, inviting, and friendly environment. From martial arts, to summer camp, work out programs, and personal training every aspect is done decent and in order. You’ll learn so much from the discipline and expertise Shihan and his staffs have to offer! I love this dojo ❤️
Wonderful establishment and professional staff . The personal training is top notch and the trainer ( Shihan Lemuel ) knows how to train according to the clients needs . I had wrist surgery and Shihan Lemuel was able to customize a workout tailored to my injury and get results I desire.
Quality dojo, professionalism is on point, very interested in the individual advancing instead looking at the individual as a dollar sign.m
