Experienced tutor in Shooting sport in Virginia Beach, Hank offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

Sorry for the novel-I’ve known Hank since about 2011, we met randomly at the coffee shop and instantly clicked. His communication, professionalism, knowledge, and ability to break down the complex into easy to follow steps is SECOND TO NONE.

This is exemplified further by the amazing team at ISP. As a personal trainer/wellness coach I know good coaching when I see it. This is my third time training with the ISP Team (edged weapons and 2 pistol courses), and these coaches ALWAYS bring it! When you think about it, the best athletes in the world have coaches. Why don’t you? It’s not just that, it’s that I find myself closer to this group of men and women than people I’ve known for years.

I busted my Achilles’ tendon July 2020, Hank was on the phone with me a couple weeks after, and all I could think about was getting surgery done and getting through enough rehab so I could participate in the Dec pistol course. Mission Accomplished. My wife is so supportive, when I told her this was the plan she was basically like, “what’s the date, and what’s the address? Let’s go!” That’s the best part: male, female, young, more mature, novice, or experienced combatant...this training is applicable and beneficial for all.

There may be other trainers and opportunities in your area, but I will always travel from Pennsylvania to Virginia (or whenever I end up living) to train with this group. Kudos to you Hank and your amazing squad: Steve, Dan, Jared, Adam, Cheryl, Geoff, and everyone. Protect what you love.

The team at Intuitive Self Protection is the real deal. The fundamentals of the training are solid, world-class, and provided with the utmost in safety in mind.

Your weapon system skills will increase in lockstep with your overall confidence.

Hanks is an awesome instructor and has assembled a tight team of like-minded individuals who have strong baseline skills across the board with domain expertise in specific areas as needed.

Outside of the pistol craft, you’ll find in Hank a bit of a motivational speaker. ISP meets students where they are and builds them up to their next level. The system works well and I will be back for another set of classes.

I can't recommend Intuitive Self Protection enough for any skill level. As someone new to gun ownership, I was nervous and unsure about handling a gun. Hank and his team are so skilled and professional in their program which allowed me to quickly feel at ease.

The expertise and detail in instruction really help me with the basics and greatly improved my accuracy. The instructors are the best! I am looking forward to continuing my education and hope to go back to ISP for another course

IF YOU OWN OR PLAN ON OWNING A FIREARM THIS CLASS IS A MUST!! Hank and his team were extremely professional and had a way of making everything enjoyable. I went into this class a novice at best and came out the other end a completely different man. They have a way of teaching you and raising you to another level without it becoming overwhelming or intimidating. I am so much more confident in myself and my abilities to handle a fire arm and protect myself and my loved ones. I am extremely grateful to Hank and his Team at ISP. See you in the next class.

This is for everybody who is on the fencing about attending a class. Dive in, take the plunge. If you are nervous about anything that this class may throw in your direction, the Instructors WILL get you through it.

Thanks Again Guys

Training with ISP was an amazing experience. The courses are designed to include all skill levels and challenge everyone. I am beyond excited to continue my journey of development with ISP. They are true professionals and can’t wait for the next course. Thank you!

I would definitely recommend this training to anyone and everyone who owns a pistol. They did an amazing job covering the basics and helping you understand you're “why”. Their instructors are top-notch and will not leave you without taking your skills to the next level.
