About Matthew

Hi! I’m a passionate and dedicated tutor with over two years of experience helping students succeed in Math and English. My background as an audio-visual facilitator allows me to bring a creative and engaging approach to every lesson, making learning both effective and enjoyable. One of the things that truly shapes my teaching style is my deep love for music. Music has taught me patience, rhythm, and the power of creative expression, all of which I bring into my lessons. Whether it's using rhythm to teach multiplication or storytelling to enhance language skills, I use imaginative techniques that make concepts easier to grasp and more memorable. I’m also an avid traveler with a passion for exploring new cultures and languages. This global perspective helps me connect with students from diverse backgrounds and adapt my methods to suit different learning styles. I strongly believe that curiosity, creativity, and cultural awareness are key to meaningful learning. Professional, empathetic, and enthusiastic, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel confident and motivated. If you're looking for a tutor who blends structure with creativity and brings a world of experience to each lesson, I’d love to support your learning journey!

As a tutor with over two years of experience and a background in audio-visual facilitation, I focus on creating engaging, interactive, and personalized learning experiences for students in both Math and English. I work with learners from elementary to high school levels, including those who may need extra support with foundational skills or are aiming to excel in advanced topics.

My Teaching Methodology:
I combine traditional teaching techniques with modern audio-visual tools to make lessons more interactive and easier to grasp. Whether it's using visual aids to explain math concepts or integrating storytelling and multimedia for English comprehension and writing, I adapt my approach based on each student's learning style and pace.

A Typical Lesson:
Warm-up and review of previous material to reinforce learning.

Introduction of new concepts through step-by-step explanation and interactive examples.

Practice activities, including problem-solving tasks or reading/writing exercises tailored to the topic.

Feedback and clarification, where students ask questions and reflect on what they’ve learned.

Wrap-up with a summary and suggestions for follow-up practice or homework.

What Sets Me Apart:
I prioritize student confidence and engagement. My use of audio-visual tools keeps lessons dynamic, and my patient, adaptive style ensures students feel supported throughout their learning journey. I’m passionate about helping students not just understand the material, but enjoy the process of learning.

These lessons are ideal for students in grades 4–12, ESL learners, or anyone seeking to improve their understanding and performance in Maths or English.
