About Edward

With over two decades on the front lines of the entertainment industry as an actor, filmmaker, and producer, I founded West Hollywood’s Studio For Acting to bring real-world industry standards directly to working actors. I am a direct protégé of legendary Hollywood acting coach David LeGrant—training with him for over a decade before stepping up to carry forward his legacy, bridging classic craft with the fast-paced demands of modern film and television.

Because I actively direct, produce, and cast projects, I don't teach theory from the sidelines—I teach you what actually happens on the other side of the casting table. My clients range from rising talent to established industry veterans, series regulars, and award-winning performers, including Emmy-nominated icon Constance Towers and Tony-nominated star Jonelle Allen. Whether you're booking multi-season television arcs or prepping your very first pilot audition, my goal is to unlock distinct, unforgettable choices that command the room.

How We Work: In-Studio (West Hollywood) or Global via Zoom

Sessions are held 1-on-1 and tailored precisely to your immediate goals:

Audition & Role Preparation: Breaking down scripts at an elite level, identifying what casting directors actually look for, and shedding performance nerves to deliver grounded, original work.

On-Camera Technique & Self-Tapes: Directing your performance, eyelines, and shot composition so your self-tapes compete and book jobs.

Craft & Character Development: Rooted in authenticity, guiding you to bring your own unique essence to every character rather than indicating or forcing a performance.

In this market, great acting comes down to specificity and trust. I give you the practical tools, discipline, and confidence to walk onto any set or tape and truly own your work.

I don't teach abstract theory. My coaching is built around the real demands of the audition room and film/television sets. Whether we are meeting 1-on-1 in West Hollywood or working virtually via Zoom, every session is designed to eliminate performance anxiety, break bad habits, and produce grounded, bookable work.

What Every Session Looks Like:

Preparation & Material: Before our session, I assign hand-picked sides tailored to your casting bracket, or we dive straight into an upcoming audition you need to book.

On-Camera Execution: We put you immediately "on set." You perform the scene on camera under real-world conditions, learning how to stay present, listen actively, and drop forced "indicating."

Directorial Playback & Adjustments: We review your takes together objectively. I give you direct, actionable notes as a director and producer—not just an acting teacher—and we shoot it again until the choices are sharp, distinct, and authentic.

Self-Tape Mastery (Virtual & In-Person): For actors recording self-tapes, we dial in technical precision: framing, eye-lines, vocal levels, and camera energy so your tape stands out to casting directors within the first 10 seconds.

Who This Is For:

Working & Auditioning Actors needing an experienced eye to elevate a self-tape or prepare a callback.

Emerging Actors who want to build a bulletproof on-camera technique rooted in classic craft (David LeGrant method) adapted for modern screen work.

Performers Transitioning from Stage to Screen who need to scale down theatrical energy for the intimacy of the lens.

The Complimentary 30-Minute Session:

Our initial 30-minute meeting is a focused consultation and assessment. We discuss your current career goals, pinpoint specific technical blocks or casting challenges, and outline a tailored roadmap before diving into full scene work.
