About Portia
My name is Portia, a 37 year old creative individual who lives in the beautiful sunny South Africa, Johannesburg. I graduated with an Honours Degree in Film and Television Production.I have had an honour to attend good English speaking schools where there was a melting pot of multiple cultures and races and that has opened up my world in a beautiful way. I learnt French while in High school and 2 other non cultural languages, Zulu and Tswana as I am a southern sotho speaking individual,all by myself. I love learning and learning about people and their cultures and imparting that knowledge as well is a great way to do that and that is why I love teaching

Hi guys, with an Honours Degree in Film and Television Production and being trained in Scriptwriting and a copywriting certificate, I have a creative and unique way of preparing, approaching my lessons through storytelling therefore learning need not be boring or stagnantat all. I also have the more structural way of teaching having worked in corporate for years writing for businesses and through an Online English teaching course I did where you teach non English speaking people English. I know at hand ( having learnt French as a language in High school and tertiary)that learning a new language can be daunting and tiresome but I promise that we will tackle our lessons with ease, confidence and patience. It is important to know my studentsand know what they want to achieve through our lessons, thereforeI am excited and cannot wait to meet you in our lessons. See you then.
